Mediator & Arbitrator

Mediated and arbitrated more than hundred cases. In mediation, various mediation techniques were utilized, including several specifically required by particular programs, e.g., Facilitative Mediation for the EEOC, Transformative Mediation for the United States Postal Office Redress Program, and mediation techniques devised for ADA mediation programs. Specifically requested to handle a labor-management dispute using Med-Arb, the use of mediation in an attempt to resolve a dispute prior to holding a arbitration hearing on the same case. Arbitrations and mediations were held in both public sector (Federal and State) and private sector: rail transportation, bus lines, pharmaceutical industry, internal government agency disputes, government mediation and arbitration programs, mail and parcel shipping & delivery, and securities industry.
Additionally, served as a hearing officer in a complex multiple session physician certification case and was requested to write the decision for the Board of Doctors reviewing the case.
Certified mediator by the Maryland Council for Dispute Resolution, which included qualifying through requisite training and experience, and submitting to observation and assessment by certified MCDR assessors in accordance with the MCDR Mediator Assessment and Certification Program.
